The lovely Rita and Booth (check out their Train Station Engagement Session HERE) chose The Maxwell House in Pasadena for their wedding venue, and I am glad they did.  I love the vintage architectural details and character of the Maxwell House.  It was a beautiful wedding.

A marriage!

Immediately after the ceremony, the newly minted bride and groom walked out to the Colorado Street Bridge to have a few minutes as husband and wife.

I just love the architecture of the Colorado Street Bridge. It is a lovely landmark, despite it’s notorious reputation.

When they came back to the reception, they were ready to party!

When my cousin, Daniel got engaged to the lovely Kelsey, I was honored when they asked if I would take their engagement pictures.  They chose to do their engagement photo session at Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena.  We had to keep the session very low key since they technically don’t allow portrait photography on the grounds, but since we were just cousins and friends, we had a nice afternoon and got a few beautiful shots together.

They are so sweet and loving to one another, they were very easy to capture their joy and love for one another.

Daniel and Kelsey are a beautiful couple, inside and out.

We made our way to the Chinese gardens, which is a beautiful and somewhat new section of the Huntington Library.

I love that they always make each other laugh.  It was contagious! They had me laughing right along with them. I’m glad I could capture some of that joy.

After a bit, we headed to the car to change clothes and take a few shots on the outside of the Huntington as well.

I am so late in posting the engagement pictures of this sweet couple that they are already sealed (married) in the LDS Mormon Temple, but I’m glad I got to share a few of their lovely pictures. :)

Tim and Monique were in town visiting Claremont Colleges for business reasons, and contacted me up to take some pictures at their alma mater where they met.  Fortunately, Monique was also very pregnant with her second baby and we were able to capture some pictures of her pregnancy as well as family pictures.  First, we started out at the dorm where they lived and met.

Awe – they were just so sweet together!

I’m glad we got some maternity pictures of Monique on her own.  She is just lovely.  After the session, Monique told me that she has this picture enlarged above her baby’s crib so she’ll always be watching over her.  So sweet! I love hearing how our pictures get used and displayed after our session. It makes me happy!

And we needed to get pictures near these gates, as they are symbolic to the college.

Having fun at the end of the session.  We had a blast together! I wish you lived closer so we could hang out. During the session, we realized that we are both mormon / LDS (which means we both attend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints).  How fun is that?!

I loved meeting these three sisters at Manhattan beach in Southern California for a sisters photo shoot.  They were so sweet and fun loving – it was one of my favorite sessions of all time.  I felt like I was one of the Zurcher sisters just hanging out with them.  See I even got them to skip down the pier.  That’s dedication!

They are all so beautiful!

But one of my favorite things about this session is that the Zurcher sisters wanted to honor their too early departed sister and include her memory in the photo session.  Their oldest sister passed away when she was in her teens and is a deeply felt loss for these girls, so they decided to memorialize her presence with a bouquet of sunflowers (which were her favorite). They wanted to prominently include this remembrance in their photographs.

After the session we went and grabbed some ice cream.  What a fun session.  Thanks for letting me a part of your family for a few hours. :)

I wanted to share this sweet newborn photo session with baby Ryder.  He’s probably two years old now! But they are still adorable, so I think worth sharing.  Here is his cute nursery.
