We are home from the hospital and settling into our new routine.  The boys love their little sister; they don’t miss any opportunity to give her hugs and kisses.  My 4 year old, Levi, has declared: “I am going to marry Nora, so we can always be together.”  He always comments on her “pretty hair bows and dresses.”  My oldest, Elijah, likes to help getting Nora things, like diapers, a change of clothes, etc.  And my littlest boy, Asher, who is 2, is like a bull in a china cabinet.  He tries to hug Nora and almost gouges out her eyes!

Things are definitely busy around here.  I took these pictures when Nora was 1 week old, but it has taken me a week to post them!  I think she is beautiful.  :)

I also took some on the blankets I made and included some of the hairbands I made too.

And then she was done done done!  “NO MORE PICTURES, MOM!”

We are excited to welcome baby Nordine (Nora) Marie Baker to our family!  She was born on August 1st at 7:59am, weighing 8lbs and 6oz and measuring 19.5 inches long.  The delivery went well, except for a short cardiac arrest for mama during the C-section, which made dad a little (or a lot) worried.  Mama is fully recovered, and she and Nora are doing well.

The name, Nordine, was Amber’s cherished grandmother’s name.  And her middle name, Marie, comes from both of Brian’s grandmothers.  We are honored to have her named after such special ladies.

Here is our beautiful Nora.  She is a quiet, sweet baby, and she is a happy girl.  Her little cries sound more like a chirping bird than a hungry baby.

Her brothers are so loving and doting on her.  She is going to be one spoiled sister!

Mom had way too much fun making these blankets and hair bows while she was pregnant, so poor Nora gets tortured with them all day.
