I was so excited when Sarah asked me to return to photograph their newest addition (check out their first session HERE).  They had JUST moved into their new home in La Canada, and I know how hard it is to move with a newborn.   Much less have your house put together for pictures.  AND look absolutely amazing for having a weeks old newborn!  And did I mention that she has 4 kids 3 and under?!?!  Jeesh!  I wish I was as amazing as Sarah.

The 3 “big” kids were so helpful and well-behaved.  I think they have a thing or two to teach my 3 boys.

Katie and John chose Eaton Canyon in Pasadena for their maternity pictures.  They were such a lovely couple to hang out with for the afternoon.  It makes me so happy when couples have fun together and show their love during the photoshoot.

I love that they brought their ultrasound picture to use.  Such a cute idea!

I was so happy to come to their home and meet baby James when he was just a few days old.

He was awake and alert for a lot of the session, but after a quick nurse and cuddle, he fell asleep for a few sleeping newborn shots.

And they wanted a picture with their cat.  James was done, but at least their kitty obliged.  Such a beautiful cat.

I realize that all my posts talk about how far behind I am at posting pictures.  I won’t apologize, I’ll just let you know that this wedding is from December of 2010!  Congratulations to Kyrie and Austen, the not-so-newlyweds.  :)

Kyrie and Austen were married at the Newport Beach LDS Temple, which is such a beautiful temple to be sealed in!  As we wait outside the temple for the couple to exit, the grounds are always such a peaceful and spiritual place.  We captured this image while waiting for Kyrie and Austen.

After we took some portraits at the temple, we drove to Ventura where their reception was.  We had a few last minutes of light (read: a VERY few minutes – it was already twilight), so we took a few shots at the beach.

Kyrie and Austen’s reception was held at the Four Points by Sheridan in Ventura.  I loved that the addition of the Christmas decor.
