Glendale Wedding Photography
Wednesday, October 28th, 2009After such an awesome engagement session in Old Town Pasadena (check it out HERE), I have been looking forward to shooting Artin and Virginia’s wedding for several months. They were married at Saint Peter’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Van Nuys. I met Virginia at the church where she finished getting ready.
Here is the adorable ring bearer and flower girl.
Almost show time!
Brian got this shot just before Virginia walked down the aisle. I love it! Brian has such a creative and unique perspective.
Husband and wife! I love their expressions – they are so happy and excited.
After the family pictures, we headed to Balboa Lake in Encino for portraits. First we got some pictures with their bridal party.
Virginia was such a lovely bride. I loved her long veil that caught the wind so beautifully.
Looking out onto the lake, we found this hammock.
Love that veil!
Playing with the long shadows.
The sunset light was beautiful. It was a great time to capture portraits around the lake.
I processed a few with texture.
This one makes me laugh.
While I was capturing this.
Brian captured this shot. He has such a different perspective, which is great.
Brian also took this ring shot, which is so glowing and moody. I love it!
Pasadena Maternity Photography
Thursday, October 15th, 2009Candice’s family is one of my favorite families to photograph. So I was so glad when my friend asked me to photograph her maternity pictures. Candice had been having pretty strong and regular contractions all week, so we weren’t even sure she would make it until the photoshoot. Luckily for us, she made it and was radiant. Even if she wasn’t feeling great – she didn’t show it.
We decided to go to Eaton Canyon in Pasadena/Altadena for their photoshoot. I LOVE the lighting in these first two. Candice just glows.
Their little girl, Stella is one of the cutest little toddlers. Here she’s comparing her belly with her mama’s baby belly. No there’s not a baby in there. :)
Beautiful!
Such a cute family.
Stella is the star of the show…. for now. Until her little brother comes and she has to share the spotlight.
This next series just makes me all warm and happy.
Great choice for the location. There were so many pretty areas to photograph.
Sweet moment.
We wanted to get one shot with this just this pretty scarf on, so we looked for a secluded area. Toward the end of the shoot we were still near the path, but we hadn’t seen anyone the whole time so we decided to do the shot here. Of course, as soon as Candice got ready we had three big families walk right by!! Candice was a good sport and they couldn’t see anything. Plus I think it was worth it for this shot. I love how the creamy flowers coordinate with the scarf.
Last shot of the day. Beautiful sunset light.
Monrovia Newborn and Family Photography
Thursday, October 15th, 2009I’m back from maternity leave and already super busy. This is a newborn photo shoot with my friend, Jayme and her family. Her new little girl is Kaizlee, who was 7 days old at the time of the shoot. I love that Kaizlee is a big healthy newborn – she was over 11 pounds when she was born! She is adorable.
Kaizlee’s big brother, Joncee loves her soooooo much.
I love this family portrait. They are so sweet together.
I often ask clients if they have any unique baskets or bowls that they would like to use in the photo shoot. Jayme and her husband had this special basket that was signed by their whole youth ministry when they left. What a nice keepsake. Kaizlee looks so comfortable in it.
I’m not a big fan of bows on baby girls (maybe it’s my jealousy of having two boys). But I loved this brown bow with her sweet little pink blanket. She looks so peaceful.
And finally, Kaizlee in her bassinet. Those little toes are so yummy – I just want to nibble on them.
Thanks for having me take pictures of the new addition to your family. I loved spending the afternoon with your family.
