Joe and Jennie saw the maternity and newborn photos of their friends, Shawn and Alisha, and liked them so much they hired me to come out to Frazier Park and take their maternity and newborn photos.  Joe and Jennie have been wanting a baby for ten years, so this baby is a special miracle baby for them.  I was so happy to be a part of this special time for them.  Joe and Jennie decorated their nursery in this adorable space theme, so we started the shoot in their cute room.

Their adorable three little dogs are their first babies, so we had to include them in the shoot.

Then we headed to a nearby park for more shots of the couple together.

This goose kept bugging me toward the end, so I included him in the last frame from the session.

Soon after Jenny’s maternity session (check it out HERE), she had her third son, Tate.  We waited a few months to take Tate’s newborn photos so he would be a little more alert and expressive.  What we didn’t anticipate is that he would also be a little more cranky.  Tate was not happy and not very interested in doing a photo shoot.  But I think we got some cute shots of this little guy.

Jenny and Tim own Billy’s Boardshop in Montrose and Tim is a big skater.  So we took a shot of baby Tate on the skateboard and I processed it with some grungy textures.  I love this one!

This spring, I met with Gary and Mary at Descanso Gardens to take pictures of little Ronan and their family.  I really enjoy the beauty and variety of locations at Descanso Gardens – it’s one of my favorite places to shoot.

My friend Dare had her baby just a few weeks before me, so I came over to take a few photos of Bryce for his announcements.  This is Bryce at just 7 days old.

After Pat and Desiree’s maternity session (check it out HERE), their sweet little girl, Abby was born.  I loved how expressionate Abby was – so cute!

While taking a quick break for feeding, their cat wanted to be the star of the show.  I love it!
