In January, Katie asked me to come take photos of their new baby girl Lauren and the rest of their family.  I was a little intimidated because her sister-in-law is a photographer, so they have had many professional photos taken of their family.  But I shouldn’t have worried, their family was so relaxed and easy going, I could have hung out there all afternoon just playing with the kids.  First we concentrated on taking some newborn photos of Lauren.

Lauren had such cute, kissable baby parts, I just couldn’t resist taking photos of her lips, skin rolls, full tummy, fingers, toes and ears.  I put this little collage together of them.

I love this tutu on her – too cute!

And even cuter, is Lauren’s sad/mad face in the cute little tutu!  I don’t think she liked it quite as much as we did.

Megan is such a sweet and gentle big sister with Lauren.  She was so helpful during the shoot, trying to help calm Lauren and keep her entertained.  I love the intimacy and feel of this one.

Then we took some pictures of mom and dad with Lauren.

And lastly, a portrait collage of each of their four kids: Megan, Preston, Collin and Lauren.

Here is my beautiful cousin, Kimmie.  I can’t believe she is already a senior and soon to be headed to BYU.  I was so glad she asked me to take some senior portraits.  Kimmie was so fun to work with because she is stunning and she is really into America’s Next Top Model, so she has lots of ideas on how to model.  And I think she enjoyed it, which makes all the difference in the world.  I think she may have a modeling career ahead of her, don’t you think?

First we took some traditional graduation pictures in her cap and gown.

And then we got a little more relaxed and got some senior portraits.  I really wanted to capture her gorgeous blue eyes and her sweet, fun personality.

You may have already seen these on my family blog, but I thought I should post them here as well.  Our family has some BIG news, which our firstborn, Eli would like to share with you.

Eli is going to be a BIG brother.

He can’t wait to welcome his little brother this August.

Because of this upcoming change in our family, I will be going on maternity leave August and September, returning on a limited basis in October through the rest of the year.  In order to enjoy the new addition to our family, I will only be taking a limited number of shoots once I return.  Therefore, if you would like family shots for your Christmas cards, please plan ahead and schedule in advance before I book up!

I had the opportunity to do another photo shoot for Stella at 9 months old.  We have scheduled mini sessions for her 3 month, 6 month and now 9 month old photos.  These ones were special because Stella’s mom has signed her up with a modeling agency and needed some headshots for her comp card (a mini portfolio you take to casting calls and auditions).  Therefore, they are a little more traditional than some of my photo shoots because they need to clearly show their features and variety of expressions.  Stella has already started getting auditions – I can’t wait to see her get famous!  Here are just a few of my favorites from the session:

You might remember this family from Mia’s two year old photo shoot a few months ago.  Well now, adorable Mia has a little sister, Sophia.  I was excited to shoot this cute family again and capture Sophie in her first few weeks of life.  She was about 6 weeks old at the time of the shoot.

She is such a cute healthy baby.  I love her big baby blues, which are so striking in these shots.

Mia was so sweet with her new little sister.  She was attentive and protective of Sophie while I was taking photos of her, so I decided to capture the siblings together.

Mia’s toddler feet look so big compared to Sophie’s little newborn feet.

Sophie comes into such a loving family.  She is so lucky.
