I was so excited when my cousins, the Menloves, arranged to do some family photos before Christmas.  Their family is so cute and active, I knew it would be a fun shoot.  We had planned to do the shoot at Monvrovia Canyon Park, but due to the fire dangers at the time, the park was closed.  So at the last minute we switched our plans to Caltech in Pasadena.  I am glad we ended up doing the shoot here.  It is a beautiful campus, with a lot of variety and things for the kids to do.

I couldn’t resist little Joshua’s big blue eyes.  I kept coming back to him, but maybe that was because he was the only stationary one in the group.  :D

Ally and Zachy wanted to explore everything at Caltech.  They loved this little pond with turtles in it.  We had to bribe them away eventually.

The kids loved climbing all over the beautiful architecture all over the grounds.

My favorite shot of the day.  I think it shows each of their personalities.

I tried to get individual portraits of each of the kids.  Zachy wasn’t really having it, but here’s what we got.

Zachy and Ally much preffered to roughhouse with their parents.  But Joshua obliged here.

This is a product of peek-a-boo.  Too cute.

And finally, some family portraits.  They especially wanted one to frame for their home.  You guys are adorable.  I hope you like them.

I was so happy when some friends of Kristy (check out her daughter, Mia’s photos HERE) called me to take photos of their 3 month old daughter, Audrey.  Mary and Thomas were so loving and protective of Audrey.  She is a lucky girl to have such doting parents.

Check out Audrey’s gorgeous blue eyes.

Thomas studies ancient languages, and so he talks to Audrey in other languages.  He even has these Akkadian signs that Audrey is fascinated with.  She stares and stares at them on the changing table so I had to get a picture of her and the signs.  Audrey is going to be one brilliant baby.

Why do I love this picture?  Because Thomas is the one ironing her shirt.  Too cute!

After hanging out at home for a bit, we headed over to the park for some family shots.  I love Audrey’s deep blue eyes (I did not color them in photoshop, I swear!).

Before Christmas, I had the opportunity to take some family photos for Keiko and Josh.  Their son, Noah, was adorable and was happy to ham it up for the camera.

Their bedroom had beautiful light.  I enjoyed taking these of Noah.

After some sweet baby portraits at home, we headed over to the Glendale Griffith Park Carousel for some family portraits

I love these flair shots.  It captures their intimate family moment.

Our good friends, Jonathan and Laura recently welcomed their baby daughter, Emily into their family.  While visiting the sweet newborn, I captured a few images.  She is so serene and calm here – that binky does wonders.

Jonathan and Laura are probably going to hate me for this, but I couldn’t resist.  Newborns make the craziest faces.  This one of Emily just cracks me up.  :D
