I’ve been wanting to do a shoot at Disneyland for a while now.  So when Tiffany and Chad contacted me about doing an engagement session at Disneyland, I jumped at the chance.  It is a special place for them because they got engaged at Disneyland.

We started the session at Sleeping Beauty’s Castle because that’s where they got engaged.  How special is that?

Chad actually proposed at the wishing well, which is beside Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

I loved the light here on the bridge.  Most of the day, we were working with pretty harsh sun, so it was nice to find a spot with that beautiful glowy light.

Tiffany is a make-up artist.  Can’t you tell?  She is gorgeous.

We went to Disneyland on a Tuesday.  Since it wasn’t very crowded, we decided to brave a few rides, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  I would NOT recommend riding this backwards.  I thought I was going to fly out.  Seriously.

The carousel.

And teacups.  Chad isn’t a fan of this ride, so I convinced him to ride by promising we didn’t have to spin it.  Well, I didn’t realize the ride created quite a bit of g-forces on it’s own.  I felt so bad.  I was really worried he was going to lose his lunch.

Then we headed to Main Street for some classic Disney engagement pictures.

LOVED this Kiss-o-meter.  They were so nice to stand basically in a display for this shot.

Chad decided to play the game, but ended up with a kissing reading of “platonic”.  I asked if they wanted to play again for a better answer, but Tiffany and Chad decided to prove it wrong right there.  LOVE it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this “Picture is worth a thousand words” quote on Main Street.  I think it may be my favorite shot of the day.

A Disney employee was so nice to let us borrow a parasol for a quick shot.

We were lucky to chance upon the Disneyland band.  Tiffany and Chad are awesome dancers!  They obliged with some very sweet moves for me, while the band played.

Tiffany and Chad are getting married on New Year’s Eve in Los Vegas.  I hope your wedding is as special and fun as you guys are.  Thanks for spending such a fun day with me at Disneyland.

Old Town Pasadena Graduation

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to shoot a combo graduation/family session with Lindsay and her family.  Lindsay was graduating from UCLA and wanted a photo shoot to celebrate her accomplishment.

We decided to do the shoot in Old Town Pasadena because Lindsay loves texture and variety there.

Lindsay and her mom are such good friends.  I love this photo of the two of them.

Lindsay’s brother Jeremy was such a ham.  I got a few photos of him and his girlfriend, GIna.

Azusa Senior Portraits

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Ben is practically our nephew.  I couldn’t resist taking his senior portraits.  He was a little hesitant to be the focus of our photo session, but I think he was happy with the results.  Here is the shot he chose for his graduation announcements.

Ben and his brother, Josh.  They are great buddies.  I hope my two boys will be good friends like them.

Ben is into tons of sports, so we wanted to do some shots to show off his interests.  We started in the weight room.

Here is my beautiful cousin, Kimmie.  I can’t believe she is already a senior and soon to be headed to BYU.  I was so glad she asked me to take some senior portraits.  Kimmie was so fun to work with because she is stunning and she is really into America’s Next Top Model, so she has lots of ideas on how to model.  And I think she enjoyed it, which makes all the difference in the world.  I think she may have a modeling career ahead of her, don’t you think?

First we took some traditional graduation pictures in her cap and gown.

And then we got a little more relaxed and got some senior portraits.  I really wanted to capture her gorgeous blue eyes and her sweet, fun personality.

Thanks again, Kimmie.  You were an awesome model and were so natural to work with.  I hope you enjoy your senior portraits.
